Woodland Auto Display and 1010 Garage unite at Estrella Warbirds Museum
The Woodland Auto Display, in conjunction with 1010 Garage of Atascadero, presents a very special Bargain Day for just $5, the Central Coast Mega Swap Meet, with automotive and aircraft related parts, planned for Sunday, Sept. 10, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (museum buildings open at 9 a.m.) at the Estrella Warbirds Museum, 4251 Dry Creek Road in Paso Robles.
The Mega Swap Meet will feature numerous new and used items in such categories as street rod parts, vintage auto parts, vintage race car parts, vintage motorcycle parts, vintage tractor parts, aircraft related items, plus hit and miss engines, Petroliana Collectibles, automotive art, and a car corral…plus vendors with new auto related products. The swap meet is presented by Dick Woodland of Woodland Auto Display and Wayne Bloechl of 1010 Garage…plus a special thanks to the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame for their ongoing support!
Wayne Bloechl has been serving the street rod industry for over 50 years providing speed equipment, street rod parts and early model reproduction parts.
“My love of cars from my first ’40 coupe through numerous ’33-34’s and the difficulty of finding the parts I needed led me to start ‘Wheel City’ in St. Paul, MN. Then, after moving to California in the mid-’60’s, I started the ‘Santa Clara Speed Centers’ in the San Jose area. The store soon grew to a four store chain with a warehouse operation. Being an avid street rodder and madly in love with ’33-34 Fords, I sold the speed center chain and started ‘The ’34 Store.’ I sold this in ’83 and helped Gary Meadors start Goodguys. After parting ways with Goodguys, Freedom Street Rods was formed – 2004 was our 20th anniversary of selling quality parts at reasonable prices. I sold Freedom Street Rods in ’06 and, after a three-year hiatus, and by popular demand, opened our new store in Atascadero in 2009 and we’re here to serve you.”
